People considering emigration might want to be aware of the supply chain issues concerning PC frozen Yorkshire puddings. They are not currently available. We had to make puddings from scratch.

More properly called Earl Grey's Monument, after the tea production facility under the centre of Toon.

You and I know all about this, but apparently some folk from Surrey think tea comes from abroad. Really! They'll be claiming that mulligatawny soup doesn't come from Ireland next.

I feel your pain, dbd33. Do you happen to know how to make stottie cakes?

They probably dont know that the extra strength tea contains the fine coal dust scraped from a miners hairy chests at the pithead. This is why they installed pithead baths to stop this valuable commodity being sold on the black market and so lowering the price.

So inconvenient , considering the previous flour thread; you'd think some expat would set up in business supplying them; and marmite!

BTW I may have to abandon my wiki virginity to correct the article on stottie cakes.

To stott does not mean to oscillate (far to many syllables for your average Geordie), it means to bounce.

Judy? This is your backyard.
