I suspect it was Skilled Trade rather than Skilled Worker? As you can see, unless you have a phd or a jOb offer, you're not currently eligible as a Skilled Worker - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigra.../apply-who.asp

But Skilled Trade would work if you meet the criteria, you'd get PR in around 18 months if you start preparing everything now. There's limited spaces though so get that IELTs booked ASAP!

yeah will do thanks for that, i did meen skilled trade. was also looking at trying to get out there on a work permit, then applying for PR.

A truck licence or a normal driving licence? The latter can just be exchanged so that's easy. But Chrissyb was referring to your truck licence.

Yeah just the normal license, im aware you have to re-take my truck license cheers.

my hubby is ex army, you will need at least 1 years commercial experience for a truck driving job over here, be careful of immigration specialist, there are lots of truck firms that will bring you over to work here, wished we'd of realised that before we'd paid over £6000, to an immigration specialist to get us over here.
