Default Motor Bike Test / Alberta

Am I correct in thinking that your UK motor bike licence is not valid in Canada and if so is the test similar to the one in UK (easier / harder)?

The motorcycle portion of the UK licence is not reciporcated in Alberta. You will be required to do the written exam and the road test to obtain the motorcycle licence.

Hubby is doing the course later this month, he is writing the written portion this weekend sometime ($17). The course leaders used to be able to do the test too, but that has just changed, now the test is booked seperately - apparently they follow you about a mile down the road (in a car). I'll be able to tell you more in a couple of weeks!

While I can't give a comparison between the UK test and the Alberta one; I can answer any questions you have about the Alberta one. Fire away!

The Road test is a 45 Minute test. It can take up to 50 minutes.
The written portion is 30 questions and you can take as long as you like.

whats the total cost?

It cost $17.60 to write the exam each time. The road test cost varies between offices ($120-140ish). When you pass both of those, it costs $22.45to add the class 6 to your licence

is there a an online rescources for the theory side?
