Mortgage in Canada - advice

Hi there

Just some advice if you are hoping to get a mortgage when you arrive in Canada... we have been asked for a credit report and while we have been able to do it online, it has been a bit of a nuisance as we had to phone the company (Equifax) to confirm details and they are only open 9-5pm UK time.

So do one before you come over!! :)

I think one should check the report often. I've just obtained mine, for the first time ever, and am a bit taken aback at how wrong it is; most of the information is a couple of years out of date and some simply untrue.
