Hi Redwater,

Try Moneycorp, they have always been good for us.

However, the exchange rate is really quite poor at the moment, so if you aren't in a rush it might be worth hanging on!!

Good luck,
Rachel

1. Don't shout! All caps is shouting.
2. GBP/CAD exchange had been bad for over a year now and does not look like getting better anytime soon.
3. Best rates from FX companies. If you give them a direct debit authority, you can book a rate, they take the funds from your account and deposit them in your CAD account. No transfer fees.

We use Custom House for all of our business FX transactions.

Hi

We used Halo financial and they were brilliant! All companies do vary what exchange rate they offer so it is worth comparing!

Hope this helps Julie

Are we talking a 'one-off' large transfer or something regular while you're in Canada?

Don't rule out using a UK credit card here and paying the balances from a UK bank account. Granted it only works if there's an income going into the UK bank account in the first place, but plenty of us have that.
