meeting other granny's!
 

We are coming over for 6 months to help support my daughter & husband by looking after my grand-daughter. Does anybody out there know of any ex-pat groups where I will be able to meet late forty/fifty something ladies in a similar situation. I have a feeling most of the places I will be taking my grand-daughter will be with young philippini nanny's, not that that is a problem, just that I would like to meet more people in a similar situation.:)

Where about in Canada are you going to be staying or are you simply looking for a virtual ex-pat group?

Can't help you with the similar situation part but we live pretty close to the Beaches if you fancy a meet up when you get here would be happy to:thumbup:

not quite grannies, in fact some of us haven't even managed to have children of our own just yet, but I meet up with some ladies each week for coffee. We're 30-40's, and for one reason or another aren't working, so we like to meet up during the day time, and we mix it up so that we try different places all over the city of Toronto so it is a great way to get to explore this city. We've had a few meet ups in the Beaches and Leslieville, and will be sure to plan some more there soon. PM me if you are interested in joining us and I'll let you know details nearer the time.
