Hi there,

OH and I are planning on heading out for AB early in may and as I am planning to work in healthcare I will need to have a medical for the visa.

I have had some knee problems since about Oct and went to see a specialist today that informed me that I need some minor surgery on it to cure the problem:(.

He is putting it through as an urgent request so as not to delay our plans, but I am concerned as to whether this will affect my medical in any way.

Can anyone shed any light:confused:?

Unless your knee is contagious, I doubt it would affect a medical of this kind....

You won't have any problems, I had surgery on my knee and they were not interested. Sam

Thank you for the replies, it does put my mind at rest. Although I suppose it means I have to go through with it now!!! You'd think after working as Theatre nurse for nearly 5 years i'd be ok with the prospects of a minor op! Although as my OH puts it I can now have 2 weeks off work sorting things out for the move!:lol:
