Medical Exam
For all those anxious to know how long they will have to wait for their application to be reviewed.
We applied under Skilled Worker and received our receipt of application notice on 7.8.03.
Today we got the envelope saying to proceed for the medical.
We had no communication from the High Commission in London in between time.
Here's hoping!

Hi There,
thanks for that time line, did you get an interview wavier letter before, or did that come with medical letter? We are hoping to get that letter maybe feb/march, received AOR in jan 2004, looks like it's taking about 13 to 14 months for next step. Good luck with medicals.

Hi,
We went to the Emigration show at Sandown Park on Friday, and chased up our application, but by pure fluke they appeared to have sent out our papers on the same day!
It arrived today, we got a pink card stating "Interview is not required", and with that came some documents requesting a medical examination and stating we had 90 days to get them completed.
This appears to be all in order, as on Friday, the lady we spoke with at the Commission desk said that from our file number she thought we would be close to the top of the pile and should hear soon.
Hope this helps
Peter

Golden, in BC.
We hope to have enough to buy a decent property and take in guests in a log cabin on the same plot, for the tourist attractions at Kicking Horse, etc.
We have a 17 year old who is doing her A Levels at the moment, so we hope to move as she goes to university whether it be here or in Canada we don't know just yet, but we'll wait and see what she wants to do.
