Match of the Day

OK major problem;) OH worried he won't seem Match of the Day in Calgary - he's a Sunderland supporter so not sure why he's so eager but hey hum:D Is there any way to get it? When in Vancouver we did see live Premier matches at 0700 on a Saturday morning, is it the same in Calgary? Any reassurance would be appeciated:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Plenty of TV options for the Prem...Setanta currently the best and cheap too.

Generally 3 live games Saturday and at least one on a Sunday plus some during the week.

If it's live in England it's most probably live here too.

MOTD can be found on various sites that stream BBC...there are some :) and a reasonable stream is usually available on numerous other sites easily found.

sportsnet west every saturday morning at 8am and score every sunday at 9am neither cost additional to the basic cable package. setanta then show other games but charge 14.99 month. setanta have a premier league review show similar to motd which is on sunday evening.

Re: Match of the Day

If you have a virtual private network you can view MOTD on the pc via the BBC Sport site directly no probs. I watch the Sunday morning version (UK time) which means mid afternoon here, 4pm ish.

Television sets in Calgary (soon to be true of the whole of Canada) have a clever device installed which causes them to explode very violently if them Reed and White buggers are on.

A public service for which we can all be grateful.

Liverpool fan here and as mentioned above, Setanta is a very good solution at $14.99 per month. I get to see more Liverpool games live here than I did in the UK and the times of the games cause less disruption to other plans Jan and I have for the day ahead.

My granddad thought he could stem the tide of old age by mocking the modern world. You know, he'd call communications, the 'interweb' or say things like 'puter' when he meant computers or feign knowledge of local sports and say mobile phones where destroying society. Old people with their defensiveness to post-modernity are just lovely and quaint.

Hi, I'm a Sunderland supporter in Calgary and manage to watch MOTD, Football Focus and Soccer A.M. using the UK Nova website...and watch lots of games live on Score and Setanta on normal TV too. Getting to watch the lads every week hasn't been a problem. Watched the Man Utd match this morning live on Score. I have grown to love early breakfast footy on weekends now.

Re: Match of the Day

live footy dot net has all the games i'm told.

One of the biggest selling points for my missus in moving Canada is that she is getting all misty eyed that i wont be disappearing all weekend to watch Celtic, she doesnt realise i'll be in the Bramalea Celtic supporters club from around 7am for the matches..bar opens at 7.05am it could get messy...as she has all these plans about romantic walks on a saturday afternoon.

Cost and availability very much depends on where you live and who you take the service from.

The Score and Sportsnet are not always included in a basic package with all providers.

We have a bilingual package that does include Sportsnet (all four) but the basic package doesn't include it or The Score.

Well Steve Bruce showed some class at the end of the game, shaking hands with the United players, and hugging the older ones.

Re: Match of the Day
