Made the decision, at last!
 

Hi everyone,
My husband has been in Canada for 2 months now. I stayed back with my son to await the birth of our 1st grandchild and also sell the house. The former was 3 weeks ago and we have a beautiful grandson. The latter, the ups and downs and continual headaches have worn me down. I just wish that I had met more honest people, but hey ho such is life.
We are coming over on 12th July regardless. I need to be here on 21st June for baby's christening.
I have a very reliable friend who is going to stay in the house until it is sold. She lives with her parents now so will go back there after the sale - whenever that will be.
Now that I have a date I feel as though a weight has been lifted. My husband has struggled on his own over there but now we can both look forward.
Yes I will miss my son and grandson immensely but my life is with my husband. We have never been apart before. It has been so hard but we knew it was the right thing to do at the time.
Anyway I really do feel quite euphoric at the moment :rofl:

Oh excellent, so pleased for you, I know how much you've missed him. Are you flying out of Manchester? I wanted to go on or around that date for a good while now but we are heading to different parts of Canada. It all depends on our work permits and whether we get them through in time.

Fabulous news, bet your husband is thrilled you have set a date in stone. Hopefully it won't be too long before your son and his family can join you.

Congratulations, I think it definitely helps when you know what is happening, you must be really excited now.

I feel so good now even though there is still a couple of months to go.
We now have a countdown though and not a "how long is a piece of string"!
It feels great.
Hope you hear something soon SL and you can carry on with your plans.

This is wonderful news, I am so pleased for you. Hopefully your house will sell in the meantime.

I know what you mean about honest people, I was just saying to OH the other day that I'm am so fed up of been taken advantage of just because of my honesty.

Tina, that's really good news - as you say, you have a date to work to regardless, which makes everything easier. I still remember how hard it was for me and my husband to be apart when he flew over first. Good luck with the house sale, you never know, today maybe the day you get an honest offer with a quick completion.:thumbsup:
