M & M Meat shops
So what's the attraction?
Just seem like a frozen butchers to me. I haven't tried um yet myself, but they always seem open late and just doesnt look like an inviting shop to enter. Bit like Icelands of the UK........... DO they have good stuff on offer? |

Re: M & M Meat shops
We bought some food from M&M once. Just the once.

Unfortunately, it's the best alternative we've got to Iceland, Tesco's and M&S. I think the Canadians are missing out here. (Good business opportunity for some immigrant....perhaps?....just think of the boomer population that wants an easy life!!!)
I'm pretty skilled in a lot of things but cooking ain't one of them!!!! As the previous poster said it's the only place I can find the breaded mushrooms (wish they did breaded cauliflower and broccoli) and have to say the French Onion Soup with their Garlic Bread is just the deal for these cold winter days!!! Didn't they grow old and die of clogged arteries? |

Very convenient when you're pressed for time, and their appies and desserts are excellent. |
Re: M & M Meat shops
I've never been in and their looping advert is enough to ensure I never do.

Re: M & M Meat shops
I shop there regularly and have not been disappointed yet--bit pricey though.

Re: M & M Meat shops
Speaking of food.............................. everything taste sweetened even coleslaw. I now buy coleslaw mix and add coleslaw sauce. Tastes a bit like salad cream and is better than the green stuff in tubs yeuckkkk!
Bought some oatcakes. They were sweet and tasted like digestives. Baked beans taste like they have been reheated several times. Have no idea how they taste in molasses  I guess I'll just have to live with it but when I move into our house (4 weeks time.....yahoo) I am going to put more effort into cooking from scratch (and by then my gravy shipment will have arrived) :D . |

We bought that tub of green coleslaw once. After recovering from the sugar-induced hypoglaemic attack we threw it into the bin. I notice that North America and Canada in particular has a high rate of diabetes. Maybe they should look at the sweeteners they add to the food? |

Couldn't agree more. Lots of products taste as though they've had sugar added to them. Even the bread - gag! We now buy freshly baked bread even though it costs more and goes stale quickly.
