LMO dilemma/Alberta qualifications......help
I'm in contact with a campany in Alberta who have applied for a labour market opinion. HRSDC have since came back to them and said that I will need my qualifications/work experience assessed to determine wether or not I would be capable of sitting the appropiate theory and practical test for my trade in that province. If this is a positive assessment then HRSDC will give me a 6 months LMO initially. If I sit and pass the tests this will be extended.
Now if I was single this would not be a problem, but as Im married with a son I feel I could be taking a real risk. There could still be the chance that my labour market opinion isn't extend. Looking to hear from anyone who have been through this themselves or know of those who have |

He had to come out again, left me behind to do the house and stuff - we were lucky in the fact we found a buyer pretty quick with no chain. To be honest, there is such workforce shortage here, that once you have your exam under your belt they'll extend anything - do you have a job to g o to? |

Think we might heading for the same scenario that you and your husband had. You know - if you do end up with the stress and uncertainties we had when it all happend for us then after a few months of being here you will know it was worth it - we've been here a year, although we would do things different if we had to do it again we WOULD do it all again because it IS worth it and all the stress we had, well we have forgotten how bad it was (bit like a lady giving birth you forget the pain when it's all over!) |
