Are you applying for the work permit via the overseas office or getting the TWP issued at the Port of Entry?

Why not just arrive with LMO and collect WP when you land?
Saves the 2-3month wait by applying by post!

And Grats by the way.

Processing times are 12-16 week at the mo, so you're bang in the middle of that and should hopefully hear soon.

You can look at the OP's previous posts to see when they applied for their LMO, seems their application was received on 7th December, although that's after the first application got lost!

Best of luck.

Re: LMO APPROVED YAAAY!!!

well they received the application on the 7 december and we got it 1 week ago, buuut the company had replied for the LMO before and they kept saying it was being processed etc but nothing more, the employer spoke to a few other companys that deal with LMO's (this is the first time he has done it) and they said to resend everything in again which we did and then finally we had confirmation it was being processed so always double check as we have been waiting since september!!! We are applying for the work visas here as i find it a little risky getting it when we land as we traveling with our 19 month old girly and dog too and need to sort out shipping container etc (if they declined it over there it could be disastrous) we are very exited though as its one step closer now :) visa = temporary work permit ;)

Congratulations.

I'm just at the start of this process, with a little confusion regarding the work permit. I'm in the stages of getting my experience together and all the required documentation for the AIT. Is your employer helping you with the TFW permit or is this something you do on your own?

Cheers,

Congratulations, I know its better to be safe than sorry but getting your TWP at POE is a breeze so long as your paperwork is in order.
Looking forward to seeing the Defender around Brandon ;).

is this how you did it? How much of a hassle was it when you landed? and how long did it roughly take before you got it? x
