Does anybody know anything about this area. I,m moving Downtown from Mississauga but want to be near the Gardner and either Exhibition or Union stations. Thanks for any comments

Good/expensive'ish area...close to King West (good area), equally close to Dufferin/Park Dale (crap area) - might be looking at $1500 a month to rent a 1br appt.

You might be in close proximity to the Gardiner, but it's quite far from the access points, Spadina to the East and Jameson to the West are the nearest, it can easily be a 10-15 minute drive with traffic and construction.

Exhibition is close, Union is not.

It's a nice enough area, but in my opinion a bit too sterile - mostly young professionals living there. Prices are quite high for what you get. The King streetcar can get very crowded if transit is being taken.

Yes, after I wrote my post I realised access was not as near as I thought, but also by stating Union station I meant I wished to be near one of them but didn't know much about Liberty Village. What I spend a month on a car I would save if I lived near one of these stations. Sorry for the confusion.

I lived at 25 The Esplanade (big building, curved at one end, supposed to look like a ship somehow), that's near Union Station. It cost a bundle to park the car.
