letter of reference required
hi
i have just been asked for a letter of reference from someone who we want to rent a house from, but he wants a letter from my new employer stateing my wages, is this the norm over in NS then, should we be concerned

We have been asked from rental company for this, just proves that you are telling the truth.
If you had a credit rating they would of paid to see that instead.
it is normal and they are securing there property.

i know what yo mean as i was like that, but as we couldnt give a canadian credit check they asked for it, havent sorted it yet as we are waiting for house to complete, but i suppose they are securing there property from being ripped off.
i was reading a forum the other day and the landlords in alberta are being ripped by certain tenants and they name and shame them.
