Letter of consent valid indefinately???

Hi all

I am currently sorting out everything we need for our move to Alberta and one of those things is getting a letter of consent from my ex husband to allow me to bring my son with us. My ex has agreed to sign the letter thankfully and I know about it having to be notorised. My question is this, if I get the letter signed within the next couple of months, will it still be valid to use if hopefully we get nominated for ANIP next year? I've done a search on here about the letter that is needed and I'm clear enough on that but I couldn't find anything that says if it is only valid for a certain amount of time or not.

Thanks in advance

Yes my dear it will be valid ;)

We got ours done over 10mths ago, we asked the solicitor to do it and cost us 200quid to get it sent to him, we kept all paperwork for it and it has been accepted.
as long as you get it done right there is no probs.
our letter of him is about 2lines long and my little one decided to draw a picture on the bottom, i was scared it wouldnt work, but as i have attached the letter from the solicitor as well, no probs

hope that helps you my dear.
After some of the storys i have heard, better to get it done before you leave ;)
