if it's only been lifted by a couple of inches I doubt the inspectors would even raise an eyebrow here. If they do, tell them it's just an uprated suspension, not a lift kit. I see stuff driving around that looks like it's been lifted more than a foot, I would have thought "lift kit" implies some radical look-at-the-size-of-my-undercarriage monstrosity, not a bit of toughening up for off-road jollies.
