Landing and recce trip our version

We travelled with Canadian affair and although the seats were pretty cramped it did what it said on the tin. I also noticed that the “posh seats” seemed to have to same amount of legroom but seemed to have blown up pillows as well as a bottle of water on the seats.

When we arrived we were the only ones going into immigration from our plane and were went into a room with about forty nervous looking Mexican men.

We were asked to hold up our daughter and confirm that she was ours; we were asked if we had any other children, if we had committed any crimes and a few other questions. She asked how much money we had in cash. I mentioned the proof of funds but despite this she never asked to see the proof of funds or our goods coming in list. Which was a bit annoying given the amount of effort and sleepless nights I put into it. Then we were given some info and welcomed to Canada. As simple as that! The Mexicans looked on jealously.

We then got to the car hire company, I had never driven an automatic and when we were on the bridge in Vancouver I didn’t realise that you have to put the brake on to put it into drive, the first thing that struck me that was that no one seemed to mind me holding up the traffic and I didn’t get “beeped “ or the finger once!

Then it was a five-hour drive to Kamloops (I did the driving all the way there, Mat claimed to be to tired). But even that was an adventure, easy roads with beautiful scenery.

To save you all the boring details of the whole trip it seems that the area has plenty of work, good schools and we have fallen in love with the place, but if people want any more info about the actual recce bit just let me know.
