Landing a piece of cake!
Well I landed a week ago in Vancouver & have returned to NZ to sell up.
Just wanted to let people know how easy it was, even though it took an hour because of a line up of about 30 people. Most of them were young people heading up to Whistler to work for the ski season. The time we spent with the IMO would have been 5 minutes at the most! We still have both Goods Accompanying & Goods to Follow lists. The IMO didn't seem interested in either & only asked the value of gifts we were bringing in & how much cash we had. All in all it was very very easy:) |
Re: Landing a piece of cake!
Suznz - congratulations! I am glad that it was all 'happy landings'. I think sometimes its all the things that you imagine might go wrong that seem so scary. I sincerely hope all continues to go fantastically.

I was tempted to make a similar comment, but self control and my innate kindness towards starry eyed newcomers won out. Just.

Anyway, immigration were not interested in our GTF list. Didn't cause any problems when we finally cleared our container with them a few weeks later. |

Re: Landing a piece of cake!
About your goods to follow list.
After we landed we took our goods to follow list to customs to have it stamped. This was a separate process to the landing. |
