Kijiji

Hi, I have been looking at Kijiji Ontario, can anyone recommend this site from past experience for both job hunting and property rentals?

Thanks

Re: Kijiji

I've found tenants for my rental properties through Kijiji and had no problem using the site.

Property rentals - it's excellent.
Jobs? Not sure - there's better resources on teh internets for that.

It seems to be a very hot site for rentals in Toronto. In other locations craigslist might be better.

We have just found our rental in Ontario using kijiji. It is difficult to search if you are looking for a specific area, but general city wide, it is great. We used padmapper (on iPad, although I think here is a web version) which was great as it showed the properties available by map.

OH is a rental consultant for an upscale apartment building in Toronto and they use Kijiji to advertise apartments on a daily basis

Pah! You call living in PG the "back of beyond"...? You're in the nearest city to where I live, which is about 3hrs' drive away from my home, so therefore I think I can rightfully claim "back of beyond" status :p

Re: Kijiji

Kijiji and Craigslist are pretty reputable/robust systems these days (especially since Craigslist moved to telephone authorisation)

Kijiji can be a little sticky on ad category placement, where Craigslist can be a little sticky on what it deems duplicate ads, but all in all, two very good services for property and employment (although specialised sites will always have the edge of course)

I still wonder if anyone knows how the name "Kijiji" came about, or how to properly pronounce it!

All the best.
