Does anyone know how to post an add on kijiji? Every time i try it says my e-mail address is invalid, ive tried googlemail and yahoo if u have any ideas it would be appreciated. Yours Jim

On a different but related note - I've emailed people via the email function on kijiji before and have never had a reply, I'm not sure if that's because it doesn't like my email address, they don't get the emails or they just didn't bother replying :rofl:

I use kijiji alot to buy and sell. Its seems to take my AOL email ok, but I dont often get email replys, but just put it down to, they dont like my offer.

Is there any computer/software experts who can tell me if it can identify what location in hemisphere you are and be selective about origin of add?

kijiji works great for me. I advertise my duplex vacancies there and get loads of replies, no problem.

I have noticed most replies to ads are hotmail accounts.

I get the distinct impression that you have to have a Canadian internet service provider to place adds on kijiji.

When we were looking to buy a house I emailed someone on kijiji from the UK and had no reply. My realtor then emailed them from Canada and they had never received my enquiry. It would appear that you can only use it if you are in Canada.

I dont know, but I suspect its a spam control thing. There are far too many ads on Kijiji for cars and the like that are scams with vehicles allegedly in the US or Mexico rather than local.

Yes, they could do that easy enough by your IP address, if they are doing that though, they should at least say so...

When i was in UK I couldnt post on Kijiji but when I use my same email address in Canada it works fine. I just thought you must not be able to post or reply to adverts out of Canada :huh:

I am in Canada and I use my hotmail.co.uk address OK. We have received replies to our enquiries ... that probably doesn't help at all :lol:

I was in the same situation. After sending an email to kijiji I got the following answer:

Thank you for contacting Kijiji Canada Community Support.

Kijiji.ca is a Local Canadian Classifieds site. If you are not living within
Canadian borders, you are prohibited from using Kijiji.ca. Please go to
www.kijiji.com to find a nearby Kijiji sites.
