Wine in the offie is definitely cheaper than BC. You can get pretty nice wine for 7-11 bucks. I seem to remember it being nothing less than 12 for a decent wine in Vancouver and that was 7 years ago. Wine in pubs is expensive though. Hardly anywhere less than 28 bucks for a bottle which is mental IMO. Java Cafe on Queens does a litre of wine for 18. Not a bad Chilean as well.

It depends on your standards of course, and mine are pretty low, but you can still get drinkable wine for less than $10 a bottle. Maybe not wine you would offer to guests, but still a pleasant enough wine to get sozzled on a fairly regular basis.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. the LCBO brought in an Argentinian wine last year called FUZION, very drinkable. It's priced usually at $9.95, presently on sale for $8.95. It's available red and white. It's reportedly the largest selling wine in the LCBO history. Stock disappears off the shelf very quickly.
