It must be bizarre to be called up and having to prove to those bureaucrats that one should not have been summoned in the first place. On the other hand they have no way of knowing, do they?

Presumably people are not taken from an electoral register.

If they were, then they'd know.

exactly

unless the electoral register was not accurate

or

it was not consulted first

and

it would not surprise that some who vote are not citizens

i have never figured out why 12 men/women should have their lives disrupted, be paid a pittance, to go decide the verdict of a 13th one

why can not judges, or a panel of legal eagles, make that decision?

after all they are all well paid and tax payer funded

I wouldn't think that we are on the electoral register. We have never received cards nor voted.

You could answer that question, and at the same time realise how dangerous your current opinion is, by reading up on European legal history, i.e the Venetian Star Chamber judicial system which was imposed on Britain by the Venetian empire, but has been banned for nearly 400 years (though Cameron's new family court system, and Obama's horrific civil liberties violations are re-introducing the Star Chamber system to an apathetic historically-ignorant Western culture).
I suggest you read up on common law and lawful rebellion, starting with Canadas Dean Clifford, to see how rigged the legal system is, and how they can't be trusted - hence we need a public jury system.
