Mr.Miller pls reply..June 28th deadline??

Hi all,

I get 76 points under existing rule.
Can i apply now or shd i wait till June 28th?

I feel that either way since i am an IT professional with 10+ yrs exp(also with a qualified spouse) and enough money in the bank i should be able to make it even after june 28th.

So don't you think it is advisable to wait till we have a desion on the regulations, passmark, etc?
All lawyers seem to press me to apply bef that.

Is there any advantage if apply bef June 28th?

Pls help me out

Lassy

It does not matter whether you apply now or after June 28th. You would be assessed
against the new criteria in either case. The exact "pass" mark has not been announced
though. It is understood that the department wishes to use a high mark to eliminate
its self-inflicted backlog. If it were set at 80 as planned, few indeed would
qualify. Jim Humphries

Re: June 28th deadline??

Anyone who applies between now and implementation date must understand and accept
that there is some level of risk since final regs and pass mark are not known.

In some cases the risk will be higher than in others.
