JOB WEBSITE

Hi Folks,

I need help with jobsites. I am looking for jobs in the health care field and have posted my resume on Workopolis, and was told that this is the website most employers look at. Are there any other ones that I could post my resume.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Monster.ca is another big one.

You could try Craigslist. I know it's very popular here in Vancouver (not sure if the other cities use it as much). I have found two jobs (so far) and one place to rent by using it! :) Just be careful of scams.

http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/res_eng.asp...=3*&Student=No has all the jobs - but if you are looking for a job in the health care field, a good place to start would be the hospital / health care authority websites - most of them have a careers website that you can upload your resume on and be notified if any jobs come available.

This google search will give you a start :)

I seek advice regarding applying for Canadian jobs online.(have read Wiki) I am from a Construction Management background with 7 years experience. Landed in Canada in Feb this year and since then been applying for jobs on Workopolis, Monster, Job bank, Eluta and other smaller websites. I do apply for quite a few jobs everyweek but have had only a couple of replies.

Recently, I have been told by a few fellow Canadians that only applying online is not 'enough'. I need to know people in the industry to actually be able to get in. I have also been told by one HR Manager that the recruitment process in in 'referrals consideration' stage and candidates will be considered later.

Anyone with any similar experience? Anyone from Construction Project Management background here?

What type of job in health care - most hospitals or hospital groups post mainly on their own site. Find out the major healthcare groups in the area you are moving to, then check their job posting on their sites.

My Dad is a foreman over here and yes uncling in is common. Restorations is a booming field in Ontario it seems. Maybe directly seek out the major players in that niche market and send them your CV's - who knows!?! Good Luck tho.
