Re: Job Site

What industry or sector?

Best places to look are often the companies' own websites.

Otherwise Monster.ca, Workopolis.com, BCjobs.ca (for BC...), indeed.ca

Hi

We have tried Canada Job Bank, plenty of jobs on there but we never seem to get a reply.

Good luck

Presumably you have or have made yourself aware of Canadian licensing and qualification? You have a work permit or are Canadian?

One can apply for any job from the UK, whether it gets considered by an employer is another matter.

There isn't really one, because as you'll no doubt have discovered from reading Siouxie's link and the rest of the Job Hunting section, very rarely do people have any luck in just applying for jobs via a website, and usually only when they have extensive experience and specialist skills.

Looking at your previous thread it seems you've only just qualified as a plumber? So it's even more vital that you follow the advice in the Wiki about personal contact, I'm really not sure that an employer will even consider you via a website, never mind spending $1000 and going through all the hassle to hire you, if you don't convince them of why you should be given a chance.

Would you even have enough work experience to be able to get your provincial certification if you've only just qualified?

When you went out to look at Canada since first posting (when you'd never been), did you job hunt then? If so did you make any contacts? It would be worth looking those contacts up if so.

If not, then plan another trip and pound the pavements! There's a great Wiki article about arranging meetings etc to give yourself the best chance before you go over.

HTH a bit, good luck.
