job offers, do they exist?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and have found it a great help just looking around here. This is my situation, I'm canadian and my boyfriend is swedish. I desperately want him to immigrate here but it seems like it is extremely difficult/tedious. I think he could easily pass the skilled workers criteria if he had a job offer, but i feel like its a double edged sword. How does one get a job offer if they have no papers to work in canada. And how does one immigrate without one? He works as an IT consultant in stockholm right now and would preferably like to work in IT if he moved here. But with the economic situation, esp in the tech industry, things are looking glim. I can understand it, why hire an int'l worker when you can easily find someone in Canada? Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the whole job situation, if job offers exist and how hard it would be for him to get a job here. I read somewhere that companies really want people to have canadian job experience? Thanks in advance, Cheryl |

He's in IT? Forget it then. See similar previous post for details.
