job centre ?

Hi, anybody know if canada has the equivalent of the job centre. My wifes on an open permit, but finding work is not easy when you dont know where to start.The problem being, she cannot do her usual job until medicals have been passed, so where to look for something temp. Cheers

Since the UK Job Centre is a National organisation, Markan probably felt, not unreasonably, that the equivalent in Canada would also be national and location not important. ;)

I believe that you will find what you need to know under Service Canada, Employment Service. You will find it in the blue pages of your 'phone book. It is a federal government operation and so is coast to coast. There are offices in just about all towns.
