So, we were staying with our friends in Calgary a couple of weeks back and discussing (as one does) drink and foodstuffs.

We were discussing the latest contraband shipment of fruit squash from the UK and bemoaning the richness of 'fruit cocktail' here, which we drink at a lower rate than the more dilute squash we're used to.

'oh, we mix ours with water, 50/50, and it tastes just like squash, and lasts twice as long!'

I felt a bit silly at missing such an obvious thing, but by 'eck, works like a charm.

Cranberry and cherry cocktail at 50% strength tastes marvellous, and at that ratio isn't too much more expensive than bottles of squash.

I drink a lot of squash and giving it up isn't something I'm looking forward to! I will remember your tip for when we get there - thanks

I have started buying the frozen juices and mix with water as it states and they taste better than expected, think hubby does miss his squash though
