Irish leaving cert qualifications

Just wondering if these would be recognized in Canada as our daughter will be 17.5 when she takes them. Grades aren't given just points. The maximum being 600, 7 subjects taken but only the points for the top 6 used.
We are only thinking of making the move at the moment and if we do poss NS.

Re: Irish leaving cert qualifications

Grades are given for Irish leaving cert (A1, A2, B1, B2, B3 etc), these grades have points associated with them. I used my leaving cert results as a requirement to get into BCIT, they did make me do an English test because my results were in Irish, they didn't believe I spoke English even though I was talking to them on the phone, what was funny about it was the woman I was dealing with was from India and didn't have the greatest use of the English language, I guess it was more a money making scam than anything else.

thanks Colin. Me, being English, didn't know that. Though I'm sure my daughter would tell me she's told me lot's of times!
