Introduction
 

Hi
this is my first time posting on the forum so thought I'd say hi.

We (wife and child of 7) applied via skilled worker in December 2005. We went to Toronto and Barrie last year and are due to go again in a couple of days.

We were most taken with the Canadian people and in Barrie we made wonderful contacts including an English family who not only took us in for Easter Sunday lunch on our last day but insisted on dropping us back to the airport that evening.

This time instead of a hotel we've rented an apartment in Barrie so we can 'self-cater' and try and live like a local, going to Zehrs etc.

Hi Paul, you are very welcome to BE and its nice to know you have chosen somewhere to live in Canada.

What is your timeline then, are you near "landing" time?

Thanks for the welcome!

We applied in Dec 2005 when the processing time was around 36 months so I guess we might start to hear things towards the end of next year.
