inteview questions
Received letter form LA consulate and scheduled for interview this coming November.
A list of required documents was included in the letter. My questions are: 1. My wife is my only dependent in my application and will not accompany me. (Will just follow under family class) Is she required to attend the interview? She is not in US but has a 10yr B1/B2 visa Is she required to submit the new police clearances required also?(she submitted before w/ my application). 2. Can I just bring w/ me all the required documents during the interview? 3. Should I(and my wife) start my medicals now? Thanks in advance. FYI - My timeline Oct 2001 -AOR May 2002 - Assessment July 2002 - Filed transferred to LA November 2002 - Interview schedule. |
Re: inteview questions
If your rules are the same as us here in the UK then I believe your wife has to attend the interview with you.
You must take along ALL the required documents to the interview with you. Failure to do so may result in delays in your aplication. You must not undertake your medical until told to do so by the Immigration department as you have to have your medicals done by one of their approved doctors and they will send you a list when the time is right for you to have them, providing you are successful in your interview. Re: inteview questions Mr A. Miller and others
Thanks Loopy Loo for your reply but I have some follow up questions.
To Mr. Andrew Miller and for others also. 1. According to the letter from LA Consul. "Your spouse and all dependents 22 yrs of age older who intend to immigrate to Canada should make every effort to accompany you to interview" I did not apply for my wife and will not accompany me. I will just sponsor her under family class after I have settled(hopefully) in Canada. Questions; a)Is she required to attend the interview? Is it better she attend the interview even she is not required? b)Does she need to submit the police clearances again or the requirement is only for me? 2. Referring to the assessment letter from Buffalo. "Do not sched. medical examination until you received your interview date from CCG in LA" "You should arrange to have your medical examination promptly after you rec. your interview date" I assume when I received the letter from CCG LA w/ my interview schedule is also the go ahead signal to proceed w/ my med. exam. Am I correct? Thank you very much in advance. Originally posted by loopy loo: If your rules are the same as us here in the UK then I believe your wife has to attend the interview with you.
