Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any information on victoria(vancouver island).
Potential employment in Saanichton,any info for this area.With 3 young children any info will be much appreciated.

I just did a quick google search on my MAC - and here are some websites for you - you'll have to go through some of the crap to get to the info you may be interested in......


www.vancouverisland.com/forum - many threads with info about the island, etc. As well as some useful info on different areas of Victoria..

www.city of saanichton - again -have to go through some crap to get to the info you want.

www.city of victoria - same as above

As well, if you go through the different threads ie., best place for immigrants with 3 kids to live......there are lots of different opinions about BC.

Although you may have employment in Saanichton - don't limit yourself to that area for living -lots of beautiful in and around the area.....get a map and have a look.

Personally my husband/I live in Victoria with 3 small kids and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but that's just my opinion - many people disagree.

Hi there,

We moved to Victoria in 2001 with two kids in tow (3 yr old twins) in 2001.

We currently live in Saanich. Like someone else has already said don't limit yourself to one part of the peninsula - it only takes 25 minutes or so to get from Sidney to Victoria.

Other than that - ask away...
