Info arising from CAIPS Notes

Hi,

I submitted my application to the UK High Commission back on June 14 2004 and received my AOR on July 21 2004.

Just to see what is happening, and to make me feel that I am doing something constructive, I applied for my CAIPS notes, which I downloaded yesterday.

I am now absolutely gutted to find that my BF´D is set to be 17-01-2006.

My question is, if anyone tell me if the BF´D date is the latest or the earliest the file will be taken out of storage?

I have only been waiting 6 months, but I am already frustrated and I’m not sure that I could stand having to waste another year in the UK with my life effectively on hold and an indeterminate amount of time afterward while the processing actually is undertaken.

Thanks for any help, solace this group can give.

Has anyone else applying through the London High Commission from around the June/July 2004 time found out what their BF’D is?

The BF date is for the officer to have the file pulled if there is no action, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. If a document comes in or there is some action on the file, it is brought out when it arrives. By the way CAIPS is pointless until you have had IA and then only if there appears to be problems.

What was the date quoted on you AOR?
During last year, it went up from 15 months in Jan/Feb to 21 months by the end of the year, so I shouldn't have thought that the what, 19 months? of your B F'd date was much really outside expectations?

Usually the date mentioned on the CAIPS is the one on which the file is brought out to review the file. What PMM said is what I second.
