IT industry in Toronto

hi all,
I've got my stamp and been thinking to move soon i can. but i'm doing lots of homework here regarding insearch of place to rent, job.
I'm IT professional and been in the industry for almost 5yrs. and wondering how is it hard to get a job in Toronto for IT professionals.

I've got some links for job search but wondering if its worth to apply from here.
What would be the best approach inorder to find a job in IT profession in Toronto.
if anyone can share with me would be really great.

place to rent in Toronto area. i'm totally new in Toronto but been twice in BC but not Toronto.

any suggestions are welcome.
thanks in advance.

Pretty tough still, lots of people chasing far fewer jobs. Seems to be a case of who you know rather then what you know. Some specific fields are better then others (programmers are still in demand in certain areas)

Try websites likes workopolis.com or monster.ca to get an ide of the jobs out there.

I did a search on monster.ca and the results were disappointing for IT jobs. The only kind of jobs available are help desk kinda jobs which is really no point given your job experience.

Another suggestion if you haven't come across it before is the HRDC site at http://www.labourmarketinformation.ca - you'll find info. on who hires, rough salary guides, job descriptions etc. :)
