Income query...

Hi everyone,

Would anyone know what the average rate of pay per annum would be for a Secretary / Personal Assistant?

Thanks in advance :D

The salary range is HUGE it all depends on location, your experience and the industry you want to work in. There's a link on www.workopolis.com that can provide you with average salaries

Probably in Toronto - that site was very helpful thanks. Will have to take a pay cut it seems but the cost of living, etc will balance it out I'm sure.
Cheers

Don't be sure on that. Search for cost of living etc and you will find much discussion on the subject. Understand taxation, accomodation and energy costs and make a reasoned judgement. Don't assume that everything is cheap in Canada because as a generalisation its not correct.

I was a PA in London (media salary range), I'm now an EA in Toronto and if you convert it I'm earning just under what I got at home. However in comparison I live very comfortably and I have a lot more disposable income than I did in London.

Thanks Atlantic xpat. I have done my homework and I can see that for the most part it will be a lot cheaper to live in Toronto than Dublin (but I think Dublin is one of the most expensive cities to live in in world right now!!)

Good to hear Lucieg!! Hopefully that will be the case for me too!!

Thanks all :)

Glad to hear it. It's not unusual for posters to come along with the view that Canada is much cheaper than UK to live in and thus a lower salary is not a problem. It's wise to have done your research before putting this theory to the test.;)
