Importing Aga Cooker
In 2012 there was a thread on this forum regarding importing an Aga Cooker from the UK. My installer says the problem is the CSA approval of the gas fitting portion. Someone with the handle christmasoompa had a solution, but didn't post it. They pm'd the contact of the company that imported from the UK and the installer. Does anyone have that kind of information to pass along? Canuckypom was the party that received the information. I would be thrilled to receive same!
"Yes, we got ours in the UK, it wasn't from a store though, it was from a company that reconditions them. I'll PM you their details, although it was more than the price you've mentioned above but they are completely re-enamalled, plus the asbestos taken out and replaced with modern materials, new chrome plates etc.
Can't recommend them highly enough though, they were fantastic and it looked like a new model when we got it, plus the guys that installed it were lovely. We couldn't just get a second hand one onEbay etc, as ours had to be a 30amp electric model as we're not on mains gas, so they're just too rare."

Re: Importing Aga Cooker
That would be me, but just to clarify I never said I’d imported an Aga in to Canada, just said that I knew the company we’d bought ours from had sold them over there.
The company doesn’t exist any more but if you want to buy one from a UK company there are tons of them around that sell reconditioned ones.
HTH.

Aga Cookers seem to be readily available in Canada ............... just Google.
Then you check availability where you live and cost.
Then you need to check importing requirements, gas connections, electrical voltages/amps, etc.

This was the thread: Bringing to Canada a reconditioned Aga or Rayburn - issues?
You might find it cheaper, when you consider the expense of shipping it and then paying for any conversion on it, plus installation, to buy one here.
Which Province are you in?
There seems to be a few places that recondition them and sell them on - perhaps even try the US, not so far to bring them
