If looking for a Doctor in North Vancouver...
I saw a clinic today in North Vancouver in the same shopping area as Bed Bath and Beyond, Thrifty grocery store (I think thats the name) by the medical lab, and they had a big sign that says now accepting new patients, no idea who the doctor is, but thought I would pass it along in the event someone may need a doctor in the area and may not have seen the sign.

I took my son there for a conjunctivitus issue when I couldn't get to see our GP at our normal surgery, and was quite impressed with the short wait time and the doctor too. It's Capilano Square, the name of the shopping area/complex (has the most infuriating pavement that disappears and is clearly structured for cars, not people!)

Both! I presumed the majority of doctors surgeries did both?

Not necessarily- there are three WICs where we are in town and everyone else is separate . One is staffed by docs who just work there. The other two are staffed by docs who work in town and do sessions away from their own offices, in evenings or weekends etc
It varies depending on the demographics of the populations, cities often running more of the type that you went to.

There seem to be quite a few BE members near North Van then!
I've used the Life Labs there which was good when I did.
I agree about the pavement!

That is how our walk in clinic works (just 1) doctors from town cover shifts at the walk in away from their office. The walk in also has new doctors who don't have a practice, and there are a couple semi-retired doctors as well, who no longer have a practice but still work a couple days at the walk in clinic.
Some of the town doctors also cover the ER at the hospital.
We are lucky in the fact we don't have a shortage of doctors currently, the region attracts GP's, we have last I heard 12 doctors accepting patients still. But if you need a specialist, unlikely to have one locally, so trips to Vancouver become a pain in the arse if you see a specialist on any regular basis.
