Default Iec and career jobs

I have an open work permit so do I don't need to get an LMO but I'm not going to canada until June 30th. I've had. No. Responses from jobs but haven't chased applications as the jobs I've applied for say "no phone calls". I'm a qualified social worker with 3 yrs child protection experience in the UK . I have also had my qualification assessed to UK standards. I'm worried I won't secure a job despite this.... Any tips RE chasing applications when they say no phone calls? Will it be easier if I'm in Canada?

Yes it will be easier in Canada. They are not interested as you are not currently in Canada

I have heard from people in social work on here that they are looking for people that have their MA in social work as there is a lot of competition for jobs.

I take it on your IEC you have had a medical examination as well?

Your post is a tad confusing, did you apply through the IEC scheme for an open work permit?

If so I think to work with children you have to get a medical?

Unlikely to secure a job prior to moving out from forum and personal experience. I found companies were very slow if they got back to me at all, luckily I secured a company transfer.

Also I believe social work in Canada is a regulated profession. You will need to be registered

Depending on which Province you are hoping to go to, the profession of Social Worker may require you to be certified and/or registered with the professional body of that Province, as in most it is a regulated profession. Without that, you will not get a job.

It would be very difficult to secure this kind of job from outside of Canada.

Thanks -I'm aware of this and I'm sorting this ASAP. Hopefully it will be possible once in canada then?
