ice fishing
 
just purchaced my first power ice auger from cabelas in toon town l am ready to go.
just wondering if any body else fishes hard water.:thumbsup:

Yeap,certainly do on Last Mountain Lake , have a shack which I share with a couple of mates .Hopefully the ice will be a bit thicker this year.

Nearest I get to 'ice fishing' is relaxing by the wood stove, sipping on a Drambuie on ice looking out onto the frozen lake at the bottom of my yard to those so inclined. Afraid freezing my ass off peering thru a hole in the ice is not for me. Those so inclined, enjoy! :thumbup:

thats a big lake, l have not fished that lake in open or hard water.
thats good you have a shack with your mates, by the way what fish do you catch is it the usual pike,walleye,perch,burbot,whitefish.
lt also has carp l am told.
l only fish the local reservoirs around toon town.

they look good, battery and propane seem to be the way forward.
