No, Wednesday is "D day", but #1 was early, leading to erroneous expectations of an imminent delivery.

Guess we hope for some immediate action, or start in 0.0001 increments???

First four were bang on time for me...fifth one was TEN (yes ten) days late. This bit is just the worst - your missus has my sympathies!

Do they have "compulsory" induction in Canada at 10days overdue? It's not technically compulsory in the UK but I defy you to stand up to a snotty consultant and ask that they keep the pig semen (someone told me that's what the induction gel is??) away from you for a bit longer...

Two weeks I believe.

I suspect she will be begging them to get it out of her if we go on that long... and I will long since have run out of space for all the decimal places!

We were induced first time as the waters broke before the contractions began, but it wasnt a gel, it was some hormone infusion in the drip. Clear and entirely gel free fortunately

the overdue thing is a bit odd... basically the placenta starts to break down after 43 weeks so they calaculate your due date as of your last persiod which is bollocks anyways -then make up a number and sayd thats it - we argued with them becuase we knew the dates etc and all our scans prooved our dates - we said dec 6th, they saud dec 22nd... baby arrived november 20th... the 10days past their due date is ato allow for 1 week of 'date error' and then some days becuase they dont want to be sued for a death they could have prevented... its all bullshite anyways but we've been through consultants - 5 years for our little one despite them being sompoletely arse...
