Are you sure that the appliances etc. will work on 110 volt 60 cycles? If so and assuming that the cables are the older UK red/black/green, not the newer brown/blue/green. The red is hot/live, black is neutral and green is always the ground/earth.
On the Canadian plug: one of the blades is wider than the other, this is the neutral- black. The narrower is hot/red. the round pin is ground/green.
Again, make sure the equipment is rated for 110V 60 Cycle.
Good luck, Eric

UK wiring RED=LIVE, BLACK=NEUTRAL. Or new style BROWN=LIVE, BLUE=NEUTRAL.

Canadian and American, BLACK=LIVE, WHITE=NEUTRAL.

Hi

In practicality

brown is black
blue is white.

no doubt someone will explain deeper, and explain insurance, liabilties, differences etc..etc..etc...

the other ways of remembering when wiring canadian wires to plugs
is black goes on the brass terminal.
white on the light terminal.

cheers
Jerry

If it's all black/white, then how come it's black and red in my house.
