Re: How do you change cv to resumee?
I personally prefer the resume style to the CV style and found British employers don't really care on the layout. I've had equal, if not more response upon my return to the UK using a "resume" than my old "CV".
At the end of the day as long as its got all the relevant information on in an easy to read format, it will get you to interview so long as you're qualified! Shinkansen |

Re: How do you change cv to resumee?
A resume begins with a summary of achievements and qualifications, whereas a CV usually begins with education history (following personal details).
This summary area of the resume is where you can expand on your skills, awards and interests that you feel give you any transferable skills to the positions you are applying for. This foregos the need for a separate "skills" and/or "activities and interests" section which can appear in many CV's. Resumes in general are a lot more informal and easier to read, they can also include an "objective" which is not present in the CV, enabling you to reveal your intentions as to applying for the post and your aspirations for the future. CV's are in actual fact just a "type" of resume and are still preferred in highly professional occupations such as medicine, education and law due to the fact that the candidates education is directly related to the post they are applying for and usually outweigh any amount of experience they may have. CV's are also a lot less "wordy" than resumes but can contain a lot more specific headings and breakdown of specific information than a resume. CV's in Britain used to require a DOB but due to new laws this should now be omitted. They are very general differences and you should have a little look about on the internet for specific examples. Reading the BE Wiki pages on this subject will help out a lot too!! http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Resume_and_Letter http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Resume Good luck! Shinkansen |
