house prices

I am new to Vancouver and would like your opinion on house prices.
Do you think prices will drop or continue to rise at a slow pace. My concern is that their is more for sale then demand or am i wrong?
Will the housing bubble happen?

Also what is your health care like. i have heard you have to wait for operations and you have to pay some money for your medicine.

Are Art graduates able to find jobs or is it a struggle.

thanks in advance

Who knows what housing will do? We could make a lot of money if we knew that answer.

Healthcare, not everything is covered and you have to pay for prescription medication yourself unless you have extended insurance and you have to wait for surgery, just like any other publicly funded healthcare system. You can also elect to go to the US and pay to get it done sooner.

Depends what jobs you want, how good you are at presenting yourself, if you have a good network and being in the right place at the right time.

You will get all sorts of answers to this. My opinion is that most likely there will be a continued, but very slow, rise or no rise at all over the next two to three years. I would not discount a fall of up 10% though I don't think it is at all likely. Overall there is a continued demand of newcommers and a limited supply of housing stock.

There is an infinite demand for heathcare. This is the same in any country. Therefore all healthcare is rationed one way or another. In the US it is rationed by ability to pay. In Canada non-urgent care is rationed by waitlists. There is no user pay system in Canada so if you don't want to wait you can go to the US and pay.

Yes, you pay market costs for prescription medicine. You can insure against this expense if you wish.

Yes, they find jobs, but it is not the easiest thing to do. Finding a job commensurate with your qualifications and experience is a long-term project.
