If you think you're only gonna get the 10 days plus public holidays (11 here in Newfoundland) and that's an insurmountable problem for you then don't move to Canada!
Perhaps the fact that you quote that this thread is an old chestnut implies that you have been reading threads on this site too long, just help people out and don't be too critical of others searching for answers. Weren't you there once? I know I was /am.

Perhaps you are right as I do find myself becoming increasingly irritated with the same question being asked and the same debate happening continually. In my defence I did know how to use the search function when I was a noob and didn't expect all information handed to me on a plate as some do. I also think that my rambling occasionally include some relavent info and/or advice. Feel free to ignore them if they bother you.

Thanks guys for your support.

We have done loads of research on the search function, but sometimes it makes you feel better when you speak to other people (expats) direct and let them tell you of their experiences.

Still more questions to come.

As I said in a prev. thread - go self employed to get more days off. Yes I know it takes time to get established, may work longer hours initially, but at least you can take a chunk of time when needed.

Regards, HL.

I've been staring at this contribution for some time. My conclusions are that either I've been away from the UK too long to understand vernacular or ( the more likely explanation) that folk from Sunderland are mental, as we all have long accepted as a given.
