She has dual citizenship. She can travel on either passport and shouldn't experience any problems.

It's not advisable.

Canadian citizens returning to Canada who present documents, such as a Certificate of Canadian Citizenship, birth certificate, provincial driver's license, or foreign passport, instead of a Canadian passport may face delays or be denied boarding by transport companies.
The Government of Canada recommends that Canadian citizens travel with a valid Canadian passport because it is the only reliable and universally-accepted travel and identification document available to Canadians for the purpose of international travel. International transportation companies such as airlines may require travellers to present a passport. Therefore, Canadian citizens may face delays or may not be allowed to board the aircraft or other mode of transportation, if they present other documents such as those noted in the previous section.

That being said a British passport holder does not usually require a visa to board a flight to Canada.

Is there not time to renew daughter's Canadian passport before you travel?
