Holiday at Easter
 

Sorry folks, I know we're still in Christmas mode but im after a little advice re above.
Due to flu, i've been on the internet for about 2 and a half days now looking for a ski-ing hol to canada for the Easter Hol. I am on the verge of booking thru Iglu and really fancy either Whistler or Tremblant. Can't really decide. Mont-Tremblant as its a shorter flight or Whistler as we have always wanted to visit Vancouver.
Question is if we decide on BC, shall i book a 14 day ski-ing trip to Whistler and make a visit into Vancouver or should i do it the other way round, book a place in Vancouver and make part of that trip ski-ing for a few days in Whistler?, what would be the cheapest way to do it? Any suggestions on how to do this trip would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Personally I'd base mysef in Van and check out areas around there, the Fraser Valley too. Lots to do and see. But that's me....if you want 14 solid days of skiing, then sure you'd want to stay in Whistler, right ? Of course, you could mix it all up and have 3 days here and there, say 3 days at Big White, 3 at Golden 3 at Revelstoke, etc. That would be an epic road trip, dude.

If you stay in Van, go hit Whistler for a day at a time as needed and mix her up some. Good outdoorsy stuff in Squamish too. Accomodation should be cheaper in Van too, maybe get a good car rental deal or hire for 2 days at a time in 2 day blocks ? Unless there is a shuttle bus running to Whistler ?

Maybe spend a week in both? It's a 4-hour+ round trip between Whistler and Vancouver, so you don't want to have to do the trip too many times. As for the cheapest way of doing it; in Whistler look for accommodation (perhaps self-catering) away from the village - the public transport shuttle service is supposed to be very good. In Vancouver, the further you are from downtown, the more likely you are to get a good deal.
