Hiya

Hi all. I'm new here. Me and my family (hubby, 2 kids and our dog) our hoping to move to Canada or New Zealand. We are just researching it, trying to find out as much info as possible. My hubby would have to have a job offer first, so we believe at the moment, and we're currently in touch with an employment place, who are seeking Truck drivers for Canada, New Zealand, Usa etc. I'd welcome as much info as possible, both from people who are re-locating there, and people who have managed to get that far. Thankyou. Look forward to speaking to you. :)

Hi and welcome to BE, its a great forum lots of help and friends here, best thing to do is read the WIKI threads takes a while but you will learn lots,

Good luck with everything, if your OH is a truck driver he shouldn't have any problems getting a job, check out the WIKI occupations under pressure

cheers

Hello and welcome. You wouldn't have to have a job offer for Canada, but it would certainly speed things up a lot! The wait for permanent residency without one is around 5 years. So if you can get a job offer then it would certainly help to say the least, and from what I understand trucking is in demand at the mo! Have a hunt through the threads, there is various stuff about trucking including some very useful info posted by Judy last night on another newbies post I seem to recall.

As coffeepot said, read the Wiki and it will help enormously. :)

Hi, SamNMark, and welcome to the BE forum.

Christmasoompa has given you a good start.

I also suggest you read the following Wiki articles:
BE also has a Trucking forum.

Hope that helps.

The Community Identified Provincial Route in Nova Scotia is around 6 - 8 months and doesn't require a job. We love it here - no regrets at all
