Hiring candidates while waiting for PR
Hi all - I was wondering if anyone might have any insight.
My husband (PA) and I (sponsor) are in the midst of his outland application form.
My husband works in professional services and has a language skill that apparently is in demand at one particular big bank in Canada. There are quite a few jobs available in his field at this bank right now.
In a worst case scenario we are looking at January 2020 for all his paper work to come through. In the best case scenario September 2019.
The company in questions has offices in the UK. If they like him enough - would bringing him on in the UK office or freelance until his paper work comes through be a possibility? Do things like this happen? Does anyone have any anecdotal evidence about situations like this? Any advice?
When should he start applying for jobs in Canada?
