Yes it is, bit frustrating though, everything should just be in HD. My widscreen TV in the UK (Non HD), seemed to adapt to widescreen and non widscreen broadcasts really well and much easier than this.

I would guess in about 3 years everything will be broadcast in HD. The content available in HD is now increasing at a tremendous rate.
